One positive about the rural south. A lot of people love to cook and serve good food, including the guys, so the food tends to be good, but helps explain why so many people are fat.
If you call Waffle House good food.

I must admit I have never met anyone who said I want to move to Oklahoma. I mean why? What would be the draw?

Human feces and urine on city streets
Hypodermic needles on city streets
Homeless people and panhandlers everywhere, many getting more aggressive about it.
"Autonomous" zones.
High crime and homicide rates
Crappy public transportation that has not modernized.
More rights and consideration for criminals than victims of crime.
Filthy, trash everywhere
Headless statues and defaced monuments.
"Peaceful protests" which means arson, assault and mayhem.

All this and you pay a PREMIUM to live there while whatever positives they have are overrated.

If these cities are all "failures" why are so many still growing?
Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, SF, LA, NYC, Chicago, Columbus, Minneapolis...none of these cities are losing population.

Corp Greed took down the rust belt...outsourcing good paying union jobs killed cities like Flint, Youngstown, Gary and the like. Not liberal policies...policies that allowed manufacturing to go to cheaper labor areas like Mexico and China.

Peace and quiet
Low crime because citizens would be well armed and willing to defend themselves
Community
People love their country instead of apologizing for it and being ashamed of it
Wide open spaces and clean air
Fresh and healthy food instead of city takeout and Trader Joe's
Falling asleep to the sound of crickets instead of police or ambulance sirens.

I live in Cleveland...never seen urine, feces or needles on most city streets...high crime is only in certain neighborhoods...no 'Autonomous Zones" here...Republican state government cut the funding for our mass transit, not the liberal city and county government...trash isn't everywhere...no defaced monuments because we don't have any monuments to confederate traitors...and after the first day of unrest, every protest in this area has been peaceful.

Me thinks you've never lived or even been to a big city if this is what you believe you'd find.
