Not correct, many states have had more cases per capita than New York including Florida....New York though has had far more deaths per case than Florida and almost anywhere else in the USA.

Higher taxes, an uncaring authoritarian state and local government, social unrest and anarchy left unchecked, increased crime and violence, a police force that is now ostracized and condemned. What's there to stay for?
Maybe offer free masks if you move to NYC? Duhhhhhyuk.

NY, NJ, Pa, Mass. they get some praise now for having their cases and deaths being far lower. It's not the masks, its not the social distancing, its not the lockdowns. Its the herd immunity. People have all caught it and now have immunity or at least increased resistance to it. Other states in the South and West are now where the eastern states were back in April and May and are now criticized when its the same exact pattern repeating itself.
NY and PA and NJ had the high death counts because the most vulnerable were not protected, those in nursing homes. NY in particular was appalling in not protecting these people and actually seemed to put them at risk deliberately.
NY, Pa and NJ have now seen death counts drop dramatically and yet they still are forcing restrictions on a beleaguered populace.

A friend of mine is a realtor in Southern Florida. All of the business he's fielding right now are folks in the Northeast. They are actually outbidding and competing with the locals for limited real estate deals.

It's happening and it's irreversible. All the free drinks in the world bought by Gov. Cuomo won't lure people back to a lawless city infested with "social justice" cancer.
