He started the kneeling that you were talking about and claiming it wasn't political.

I was just making a point as why they are kneeling. He took the first stand as MLK would do. Stop making this about politics.

Another factor is that people have had to go without sports for months now and many have discovered they can do just fine without it. The two factors probably play off of each other to some degree as well. Learning to live without sports give people less patience for the political preaching.
I stopped watching years ago because just got bored with it, plus got put off by the media drumming up super stars. No politics or nothing, just got bored. It is the same thing each year, like watching grass grow to me.

What sparked it was living out of the US for several years, came back, never could get into it again.

You must have forgotten the talking points from back then.

He took a knee because a veteran suggested it as it may be considered less offensive and less disrespectful.

And why should I care about a bunch of drunken, booing, idiots?

One die hard Trump apologist even started a thread about all the things he is boycotting aka cancelling because he is triggered by some political stance. It was a long list, and other apologists added plenty more to the initial list.

And on this thread we have people being triggered to a point of cancelling sports.

Example:
As the left was triggered to not shop at Hobby Lobby or eat at Chik-Fil-A. There there was the uproar from the left about Tim Tiebow and his belief in Christianity.

Both sides have to own it so quit pretending it only exists on one side of the political spectrum.

No one understands your rants about other posters. Try staying on topic.

This we know:

1. They got under your skin and you are triggered to a point where you consider making lifestyle changes (cancel sports)
2. I ignore it and enjoy the football games like I have done for decades.

I wish I could say the same about you young lady.

If you say so. You obviously know more about "the left" than I do. I like Chik-Fil-A, especially the garden salad with the avocado-ranch dressing. Tebow was cool. Too bad he fizzeled out.

Michael Brown likely charged that officer.
The video in the store showed his demeanor. I will never understand why people were so up-in-arms over him.

But your claim about flying the African-American flag inaccurate. It was called to be added to a list of flags being flown, including various Native American flags and other flags of immigrants.

Haven’t heard anything about affirmative action. There have just been the typical complaints about it which have existed since its inception.

WOW! So "likely" doing something is a capital offense in your system of justice?

Turns out my faith in you was misplaced.

Oh well, you'll just have to go on being laughably uninformed.

This isn't a difficult concept to understand.

It is political. Your example is political. Kaepernick started your example and it was political to him.

Why is he doing it? To create political change. This doesn't take a genius.
