CHINA has blamed Spain for coronavirus suggesting Covid-19 originated in Europe and not Wuhan.
Senior government health adviser Wang Guangfa referenced research in Barcelona which detected Covid-19 in a wastewater sample from March 2019 to suggest any investigation into its origins should look at Spain.

It's probably been around for years and mutated into its present form. They estimated that it would take the original 2003 SARS virus 20 to 80 years to mutate to the COVID-19. Circulating in urban areas facilitates faster mutation.

Would help explain why Italy got hit so hard early on. Once they realized they were in a pandemic regardless of disease panic set in for them and the rest of the world. But how did it get to Wuhan and there are some that feel it was in the US by last Oct.
But this was Italy. How did it get to come from Spain again.
China probably knows it started much early in China than is acknowledge. Travelers from China were spreading it to other countries, maybe before December but it was endemic in Wuhan before the first cases were confirmed in other countries in mid January.
