When you cheat on taxes and commit fraud. You find your taxes become part of a criminal investigation.
When your ex-lawyer, who you committed crimes with, drops a dime, your taxes become part of a criminal investigation.
When a DA gets enough evidence to form a grand jury. Your taxes become part of a criminal investigation.
Just look back in history to Al Capone. he went to jail for tax fraud.
The way financial criminals get taken down is with their tax returns. Once enough evidence is found, courts have always allowed those returns to be used.
Trump Inc and all family involved may be on the hook. Explains why his sister the Fed. Judge resigned a while back.
Trump himself may have his own issues as the Head of Trump Inc.. He may also be on the hook for election fraud because of him being the unindicted co-conspirator with Michael Cohan.
A lot of deflection from Trump supporters when Trump himself said he would release them. No one forced him to say he would release them, he said himself he would.
Didn’t IRS already reviewed and approved those tax returns?
Trump claims he is still being audited.
However if tax fraud in NYC, NYS is found then all those returns get looked over again. Penalties and late charges add up quick.

Many presidnets have said stuff that never pans out....why are you mad about this? Until you can show us you were mad at those other things, then your comment is nothing.
When Trump was running for President, I thought he should share his returns. The fact that he refused to do so implied that he had something to hide, something he didn't want voters to know.
Now that the election is over, I don't have any reason to see his tax returns. But apparently the Manhattan DA does.

I think he should have said what you just did, adding that he wouldn’t release them, and then let the chips fall where they may re the 2016 election.
But Trump was too much of a coward to do that.
He didn’t want to release his tax returns, but he also didn’t want to risk losing votes from supporters who wouldn’t like a refusal to release, so he lied.
Seems obvious, but Dems/lefties/progressives don't do obvious very well.
I think Dem obsession with Trump's tax returns is just one small aspect of the huge, and growing, epidemic of cognitive dissonance/irrational hysteria sweeping the lefty community. I fully expect their heads to explode any time now. Luckily, their tiny pea brains are so small there won't be much mess to clean up.
All the things Donald Trump has said about releasing his tax returns
"Why has Donald Trump fought so hard to keep his tax returns secret?"
ALL people's tax returns are kept private, by LAW. Aren't you lefties always talking about following the law?
Why don't YOU release ALL your tax returns for your entire life? What are you hiding?
A person with world wide presence and a a multitude of businesses here, has a LOT MORE COMPLICATED taxes then those who use the simple tax return method.
I Thought you lefties knew EVERYTHING?
Another wasted thousands on a "higher" education!
The IRS experts who audit him EVERY YEAR have found NOTHING that warrants legal charges against him, but YOU know MORE then they do!
FEBRUARY 27, 2016:
Trump revisits the audit argument on Twitter.
"Tax experts throughout the media agree that no sane person would give their tax returns during an audit," he said. "After the audit, no problem!"
