Who makes the final decision what words get changed in Websters dictionary? How does that work? Does someone in the real estate industry just request it and say it's offensive and they change the word?
Anyone who hasn't bought a house in the last decade will notice a lot of language changes - all done to make sure that the sale doesn't get lost. Sell, sell, sell! It's all about money, nothing else, folks. Forget any silly allusions to changes made by Democrats, government, or anyone else not involved in the real estate business.
Quite frankly, I don't think they'll ever come up with anything as easy to abbreviate and make plain as "MBR."
HGTV is now using Main instead of Master - main bedroom and main bathroom.
I am watching Rock the Block, and this is a change from the previous season which used the word Master.
I wonder how people are going to refer to a master bedroom on the main floor? Right now, most people call it a master on main. Will it now become a main on main?

Gotta be inclusive so just because someone doesn’t “own” the home doesn’t mean they should be discriminated against because they’re living in the man-made structure.

It’s called the owner’s suite when there’s a bathroom or spa attached to it...because it’s a suite of rooms that are joined. It’s still called a master or main bedroom when there is no attached bath because then it’s not a suite. They mean 2 different things! edit: your thread makes no sense IMO...racist?
