You can't smoke indoors and many apartment buildings are non smoking. It's been a while since I've even seen a person smoking. It is a health issue, as is obesity but if anyone tried to ban smoking or nasty food, some folks would start complaining about "muh rights as a Murican."
The UK is working on educating people about healthy eating. It keeps health costs down. However, they do have a lot more smokers than we do (the smoking part is anecdotal because when I am in England I always see more smoking along with more drinking than we have here.)
Norway subsidizes consumer prices of healthy food.
Wrong. Your taxes are paying for their ER visits. It is your business.
You think fat people are paying their hospital bills every time they show up with shortness of breath? Liberals already assured us that people of color can’t afford $30 IDs.
Some people can't afford a $30 ID. That's why they ought to be free for people below a certain income, especially if they are required to be able to vote.
This is true, but the strange part is, there have been ZERO attempts to 'restrict access' to tobacco...heck, they are still sold in drug stores for petes sake! LOL
If you look at the products/substances that are deemed 'dangerous'...restricting access is almost always the first step by the Govt in reducing its use.
CVS discontinued selling cigs in 2014.
Some states/ counties do not allow cigs to be sold at pharmacies.

Abortion kills between 700,000 and 800,000 people each year. Looks like democrats are just FOR killing people.
Whereas Rs would favor making sure all of those unwanted 800k babies were carried to term, where they'd be dumped onto the welfare roles of an underfunded system trying to support parents who cannot afford to take care of their children (and so probably shouldn't have had them). And Rs won't favor increasing funding for that system to adequately care for those children either. They will support the child existing in perpetuity in poverty with its mother, simply as a visible symbol to her of the regret and hardship that resulted from her failure to be chaste and keep her legs closed until marriage.
