I would say merit not color, a person of color is the one that is the best pilot I want him to fly my plane, if it’s the white guy I want him/her to fly my plane. I believe anyone I don’t care who’s color they are wants the best pilot flying their plane.
Skin color and gender are meaningless if not enough women, wannabe women and people with other than white skin don't go to school and get trained to fly planes. A company cannot hire what there is not enough of just to make their numbers look politically acceptable.
What’s scary is they will have to employ less qualified people to fill the quota and even if you fly a non-woke airline, your life will still be at a higher risk due to having an accident with a united jet flown by an incompetent pilot.
I wonder if they will jump to recruit those who 'identify' as female, black,bad nauseam?

I would rather have my pilot be one of the highest skill instead of one chosen because it's a white male.
We've already gone over this with doctors. It turns out that when you make an effort to select only on skill, you wind up with about half women and top notch skills for both men and women. As a bonus, you shed some of the white males that were not at the top of the bell curve.
If a pilot is going to be hired because of his race than a customer should have
just as much right to know what the race of the pilot is before booking his flight.
I would rather have my pilot be one of the highest skill instead of one chosen because it's a white male.
