I don't think the two are mutually exclusive, so I'm not voting in this poll.

As long as they meet the skills requirements and have the flight hours... I couldn't care less about race. If United wants to diversify... great... as long as they don't change their skill requirements.

They made it public intentionally. Think about it!

One effective way to attract talent is to announce you're looking to hire talent. Over time, this could lead to more women and other minorities training to be pilots.

No they aren't. Contrary to what you might believe, you can be of any race and with merit. You still need to pass flight school and hours.

that's not what I believe, it's what you wish I believe.

do you honestly think they won't ease up on their guidelines in order to virtue-signal over fulfilling the self imposed goals they've already trumpeted about?

if so, i have a bridge to sell you. barely used.

Oh definitely race. For instance, if whitey, who had been flying airliners for the past thirty years with not a single mishap, and a black person, who has only been flying paper airplanes for the past few days, applied for the airliner pilot job, to keep it fair, we must go with the black person.

Luckily, I have no need to fly. Haven't been on a commercial aircraft since before the SS took over. I think it was 2001, maybe? No plans to ever fly again, so actually, I don't care. Make your own bed and sleep in it. Base everything on race, if that's what gets you breathing heavy.

Of course they would. What a silly question. Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise. It's done in every industry, critical or not.

Disgusting poll designed to push the narrative all good pilots are white and pilots of color are poor pilots, and they only got the job due to AA.

if they insisted that 50% of their pilots had to be conservative, would you suspect that some might be unqualified?
