As a black man I can tell you that race quotas are wrong.

Getting hired based on skin color, and not merit is absurd. And only puts more pressure on blacks to outperform their colleagues and prove they belong in said position. That it wasn’t just a free handout.

If you want a pipeline to find more black pilots, then let’s fix these public inner city schools that are are worthless and let’s fix the parenting so these kids actually want to become pilots, and not just rappers and athletes.

But you cannot cherry pick inferior candidates just because they have black skin or a vagina. That’s wrong.

And TexasLawyer was clearly one of them.

You really should ignore the man, he’s an “Ivy League professor, lawyer, and Navy Seal” with nothing better to do with his time.

Try to keep up. Even the Old Man Farmer is quicker than you.

Why do you choose race over merit?
They are in essence saying that. Only 1.24% of applications for pilots in 2020 were female. We don't know how many of those were qualified applicants Do you really expect that number to jump that much when women now could be pilots if they wanted to be? No they didn't say exactly they would hire under qualified candidates but given the numbers they are either virtue signaling which is so old and divisive or they will have to hire people less qualified.

I don't see any claims by United that they are hiring based on anything other than ability or competence, no idea why increasing diversity automatically means they lowering the bar. I would like to know how you arrived at the conclusion that these are inferior candidates.

It depends on who you fly with. I no longer fly with United or American for many reasons.

You can't increase diversity without lowering the bar or hiring inferior candidates.

Standards don't see race nor give a damn about diversity. They're standards. Harvard would be 70% Asian if liberals didn't discriminate against Asians. Why? Because Asians meet the standards, better than any other demographic.

Every job is not going to have a perfect proportion of gays, blacks, trans, asians, immigrants, muslims, veterans, jews, because not every demographic of society equally wants to be in those sectors of the job market.

Democrats claim blacks don't even have an ID to vote, but you expect us to be pilots?
