Ya, American Exceptionalism is the idea that we’re special because we were born in the US. Like we think we’re the only free country in the world.
Who fed you that lie? You are acting like it's just geography that accounts for American exceptionalism. Did it ever occur to you that we have foreign born people, who come to the USA with nothing to their name, and after the arrive here and become citizens they do exceptional things? It's our form of government, our freedoms and Rights, our culture and society which brings out the best inside of people that they have to offer to the world.

Women should have the same standards as men. They are homophobic if they are uncomfortable. Maybe they should seek counseling for their bigotry.
We still talking about Football locker rooms here? Women have played Football and their showers were separate, this has never been an issue from what I understand.
Issue with women in football was always a strength and size issue, not a shower issue.

Since you like the workplace analogy. If you are looking for a job do you first post on Social Media that you are looking for a job or do you tell your Boss and Co-workers that you are looking?
If you are quitting your job who do you tell first? Do you tell your co-workers and bosses or do you post it on Social Media?
There are things that are appropriate to bring up at work, and things that are not. There are also things that are better to be discussed with the people directly affected by it first.
So back to the original..this was't him about being some private person..this was an "It's all about me" moment..which he got.
