Tensley is part of CNN's Race Deconstructed team, so sure, he'd attribute concern about and opposition to CRT to White Panic and Fear, especially among White Conservative Republican Christians {the enemy}.
Well he got slammed when he ranted about Trump's covid team being mostly White...."Who are these experts"...seems no diversity. He was more worried about skin color than a virus killing people.

But America will not be a White, Christian majority country. The demographics are clear. The sooner White, Christian conservatives can accept this, the sooner our country can work together on issues that are truly important to the average American: the economy, healthcare, education debt, infrastructure, the pandemic.
I haven't heard the term "White Panic" but that perfectly describes MAGA which really equates to Make America White Again. There is a fear that the America of past decades is going away, the blue collar jobs that sustained middle class America for decades are going away as America shifts to a service orientated economy. The loss of blue collar jobs is real, but there is also an abundance of opportunity to prosper in this country, the same opportunity is available to all races.
With this situation it makes it extremely easy to stoke the fears of white Americans and blame all of the problems on brown skinned people for political gain, thus the American populism movement began.

CRT caused a moral panic. It caused a moral panic amongst conservatives and even amongst some liberals on the left. On the identity left white supremacy is a big moral panic. The msm media pushes both moral panics causing alot of fear and misinformation. All of this got work thanks to Derek Chauvin and his killing of George Floyd which caused America and the wider white Anglo world to go into racial reckoning tailspin.
While CRT is Marxist in nature. CRT is not anti white and it is not designed to hate America. The ideology was crafted by legal scholar academics in the 1980s who did not like the Civil rights movement and see that racsim in institutions still exist. CRT is not designed for one to hate America, but for some it can turn one into a fervous antiracist.
Whites will still be the majority as a racial group on 2050. With Hispanics being the 2nd largest, with blacks being 3rd largest and Asians 4th and native Americans at the bottom. As for talking about economy? Your woke leftist are culturally and socially bougoussie and have no intentions on sharing equity while they talk about equity on Twitter via iPhone. The wokes plan on maintaining capitalism because the capitalist gave into their demands and the capitalist give the wokes crumbs and it does not really help improve the lives of blacks, gays Hispanics native Americans etc.
Last. George Floyd death caused a power grab. In matter of fact. The woke academics used George Floyd death as a power grab to push their agenda and it seems to be working. However forces are fighting back both on the right and even on the left. As for me. CRT should not be taught in schools because it is not simple for children to understand. However I don't mind CRT being taught at thr academe level at colleges and universities where it can be critiqued and supported.
