The father of the baby can just say he was just going thru the accepted practice for obtaining citizenship. Making an anchor baby is how Democrats think a foreign national residing illegally in the US, becomes a US citizen.

Well I don't think anyone is saying that.
It is curious that, according to the article, the couple was surprised that there was "a fuss" over the mothers age.
As well, according to statistics/articles" underage marriage, although child marriage was banned in 2014, is still relatively high in Mexico. One article stated 25% marry before 18.

according to a NPR article : The group of women gathered at the community center estimate the average age for girls to marry in Coatecas Altas is 14 but say it happens as young as 11 or 12.

It tends to make you wonder if it is cultural.

Throughout history a female was considered “ready” at the onset of puberty. There is no question we are all decedents of what now is considered a child.

The concept of childhood is a relatively new construct and not universal.

Delaware back when, determined the age of consent for a female to be age 7. Would have been interesting to have been the fly on the wall listening to men debate this one.

Ben Carson’s mother with a third grade education was married at age 13. This was 69 years ago.

Based on their Facebook posts, neither made a secret of their relationship and posted pictures of their baby shower. Obviously their friends/ families were happy for them. Obviously, these two intended to raise their child in a two- parent home.

We know nothing factual about the citizenship of either the mother or the father. Why speculate?

Ignorance of law is no excuse.

If by force - cut it off - tired of making manhood a sacred thing.

New heritage?

Those puritans in Delaware previously determined the age of const for a female to be age 7.

Child marriages persisted in the US into the 21 st Century.

The baby.

The families of both were happy for them and threw a baby shower for them, which both posted to their FB Accounts.
