An Oklahoma man has been arrested and charged with first-degree rape for allegedly impregnating a 12-year-old girl.
Juan Miranda-Jara, 24, walked into Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa July 14 with a child in mid-labor, FOX23 reported.
Doctors called police, telling them they had a rape victim and Miranda-Jara was arrested. Miranda-Jara had reportedly told officers he was the father of the child and appeared not to understand what all the fuss was about.
They may be legally married in another country, jumped the fence and are here illegally or some other sort of scenario.
I really don't care.

I cant speak to the entire Hispanic or Mexican community but when my brother was an officer in our small, rural town inundated with illegal's to work for its main employer a Tyson chicken plant he noted that it was not uncommon (as he had gone to several calls) for underage girls, even as young as 12, to be having sex with adult men with their parent or guardian's knowledge and consent.
Not saying all families felt it was ok, but enough did to make you wonder if it is a cultural thing.
This 12 year, if she is illegal, now has her anchor baby. And the rapist daddy too if he is not prosecuted/jailed.
We have little information about the man at this time. However, let’s not act as though there aren’t American-born Hispanics that live in Oklahoma or as though Americans of all backgrounds don’t commit these types of crimes. My heart goes out to the little girl and the baby. Terrible.

A couple of years ago, in our town, we had a situation where a Hispanic man took a newborn baby to the hospital, and the baby still had the umbillical cord and placenta attached. Turns out, the baby's father was the 11 yr old's 17 yr. old brother.
