Article in Politico, iirc, said Biden chose Austin b/c Austin would follow orders without question. I saw the press conference today - singularly unimpressed w/Austin.

Fwiw, I voted for Biden. To me, this fiasco is inexcusable, easily avoided, beyond outrageous.

Lara Logan on Fox said the only thing that matters to Biden is Pakistan b/c it is a nuclear power.

Anyone see "Charlie Wilson's War" - made me sick when I saw it. What is happening now in Afghanistan is beyond sickening and appalling - and a repetition of history, once again.
Kudos to you for having the integrity to be forthright about someone you voted for. It seems it's a rare commodity these days.

That would explain your flawed arguments to some extent.

otherwise, you made at Biden for staying longer, while saying you supported trumps earlier date.
May 1 2021 was the date that was agreed upon. Biden* broke the agreement. Not my fault you cannot keep up.

I doubt many thousands of citizens would have been left behind to face the Taliban.....alone.

I do think Trump might have listened to his generals on the strategy a bit more. Biden has an innate distrust and dislike of them. This is coming from a Biden voter who despises Trump.

Biden should have done better.
So, Biden* leaving both American citizens and Afghani there is better in your eyes?

I don't think ANY other president would have failed like this. Not Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc. How many days in are we and it's still shocking that Biden is such an enormous failure.

He's let down America and our allies will never trust us again. What a buffoon.

Maybe. But Scrapping Trump's plan for if things went south, then maybe not.
