This is my view, exactly. Biden was warned. He ignored it because he was so fed up with that war.
PLUS, he has always had a healthy (in this case UNHEALTHY) skepticism/dislike of the military advisors. He warned Obama not to allow himself to be "jammed into a corner" by them.
Article in Politico, iirc, said Biden chose Austin b/c Austin would follow orders without question. I saw the press conference today - singularly unimpressed w/Austin.
Fwiw, I voted for Biden. To me, this fiasco is inexcusable, easily avoided, beyond outrageous.
Lara Logan on Fox said the only thing that matters to Biden is Pakistan b/c it is a nuclear power.
Anyone see "Charlie Wilson's War" - made me sick when I saw it. What is happening now in Afghanistan is beyond sickening and appalling - and a repetition of history, once again.
Kudos to you for having the integrity to be forthright about someone you voted for. It seems it's a rare commodity these days.

I don't think ANY other president would have failed like this. Not Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc. How many days in are we and it's still shocking that Biden is such an enormous failure.
He's let down America and our allies will never trust us again. What a buffoon.
