Joke Biden's administration continues to be dazed and confused.

State Department yesterday: Taliban and Haqqani are completely separate entities.

Pentagon today: Taliban and Haqqani cominggle and are marblized.

Then the Pentagon seems to give contradictory numbers of Americans transported out.

Nope. At least 10,000 American citizens trapped in Afghanistan, no one is being let into the gate. The Biden/Harris administration and their politically correct state department and military leadership are going to abandon our fellow citizens in country.

After Two Decades of Fighting Taliban, U.S. Is Uneasy Partners With Them

Quote:
Two decades ago, President George W. Bush denounced the Taliban for “aiding and abetting murder” after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Now, as President Joe Biden ends the war Bush started, the United States is locked in an uneasy partnership with that very enemy force, relying on the Taliban to help safeguard U.S. citizens and their Afghan allies as they race to evacuate the country.

It is an improbable battlefield relationship: Diplomats, spies and military officials for the United States are having cooperative discussions with their Taliban counterparts, as the group serves as America’s first line of defense at the airport in Kabul, the Afghan capital, screening passengers for documents and weapons.

That relationship appears to have failed spectacularly Thursday, U.S. military officials said, when rival terrorists managed to pass through Taliban checkpoints around the airport and set off a suicide bomb that killed 13 U.S. troops and scores of Afghan civilians.

The grim incident — and the warnings by administration officials that more attacks are possible, even likely, in the days ahead — underscores the precarious position that Biden finds himself in after overruling his military advisers in the spring and ordering a total withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan by the end of August.

The only question left is whether or not this is going to be the Iran Hostage Crisis 2.0, or if the jihadis will simply kill them while the MSM hides the evidence.

Wait. I thought the terrorists are our friends now?
They are providing security there and helping people get out.
No worries.

Biden says another attack in Afghanistan is "highly likely" in 24-36 hours

Quote:
Another attack is "highly likely" to take place in Afghanistan in the next 24-36 hours, President Biden said in a statement Saturday afternoon. His announcement came hours after the U.S. Embassy in Kabul sent out an alert telling people to avoid the Kabul airport due to "security threats."

"The situation on the ground continues to be extremely dangerous, and the threat of terrorist attacks on the airport remains high," the president wrote. "Our commanders informed me that an attack is highly likely in the next 24-36 hours. I directed them to take every possible measure to prioritize force protection, and ensured that they have all the authorities, resources and plans to protect our men and women on the ground. They assured me that they did, and that they could take these measures while completing the mission and safely retrograding our personnel."
