I lived in Seattle. Went to Portland, often, for work.

Your assessment is 100% accurate.

Jeez, Humans left to their own devices are many times just awful.

Dem-run cities many times take this concept to a who new level.

It's not just Portland as others have said. Every major city may still have a retreating district that is still decent, but in general the Democrats have succeeded in creating an environment where violence, and lawlessness is not only tolerated but promoted. No prosecution is the order of the day, especially for violent Leftist rioters, looters and arsonists, especially if they're BLACK.

I've been there quite a few times. Portland is a very nice city, but... I think I'll be avoiding the place until it settles down again.

Portland can't sustain its current population as the whole west coast becomes hotter and drier. There are many reasons to leave. Pick one and go.

This is our second summer in Portland, and this year is totally different than last. Very much improved. Riots, graffiti, broken glass, the houseless, hoboes and bums as I call them. All very much lower in frequency. How long that lasts is anyone's guess, but we'll be back next summer.

I should mention that we lived in Chicago in the '60's and '70's, and like the Paul Hogan knife meme...

I dont understand this at all...if so many Portland citizens are this angry and upset...why are they not exercising their 2nd Amendment rights?!!

This is precisely why we have this amendment...to protect ourselves from the Govt.

I cannot feel bad for these people since they refuse to exercise their constitutional rights, of course the govt is going to walk all over them...what did they expect?
