The "news media" is not objective anymore whatsoever.
IMO they have become the propaganda arm of the FedGov
How can the FAA have an "unexpected staff shortage" and no reporter questioned that ?
And then describe it so vaguely with "FAA imposed an air traffic management program" ? What the heck does that even mean ?
They are obfuscating the news on purpose.
...They are ovbfuscating the news on purpose...THIS!
They want internet searches and/or history to reflect their biases and agenda.
And a CBS employee also mentioned issues Fri night Oct 8 in Florida
That hasn't been established. In fact, as the only person so far in this thread who seems to have done any investigation at all of the claim, it's looking like it's accurate.
I cited two announcements - one from the FAA and one from Southwest, referencing "ATC issues" and "an unexpected staff shortage at JAX". How much more info do you need? They've essentially admitted it, without telling you the specifics, and you still believe the actual lie - which you're propagating.
If you can't see the OBVIOUS deception in this story, you're swallowing everything you're told about everything, hook, line & sinker. This is pretty clear cut, and I only had to take a rudimentary look at it.
The insinuation was that there controllers were told not to show up for work if unvaccinated, it was also claimed that they walked out in support of unvaccinated pilots. That is complete nonsense. I am not debating the staff shortage at JAX ARTCC but these claims are unsupported, we should have facts.
The facts so far are that there was staff shortage, military training exercises and weather, anything else is just pure speculation.
Due to a combination of severe weather, active military training in the airspace, and unexpected limited staff at the Jacksonville facility that handles high altitude, en-route traffic, the FAA took steps to safely manage air traffic the evening of Oct. 8. Normal operations returned at approximately 10pm.
Normal operations are still not in place -- Lot's more cancellations today. Pete Buttigeig is in charge of the FAA and all these cancellations around the Nation don't even warrant a mention on their website. It's all Climate Change all the time.
"Limited Staff" means walk-out/sick-out .... however they choose to SPIN it.
Not enough Traffic Controllers and the Flight Schedules by Airlines fall like dominoes.
You know the Biden administration is coming to the end of its rope when the try to tell you there where no staffing shortages, and then practically in the same breath admit there were staffing issues. See highlighted comments in the last paragraph below.

Southwest Airlines cancels dozens of flights out of Midway as part of major nationwide problem
800 flights canceled across the country
Sunday, October 10, 2021 1:29PM
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of Southwest Airlines flights out of Midway were canceled or delayed Saturday as part of a major nationwide problem.
The airline said the problem stems from air traffic control issues and weather.
"ATC issues and disruptive weather have resulted in a high volume of cancellations through the weekend while we work to recover our operation," Southwest said in a tweet. "We appreciate your patience as we accommodate affected Customers, and Customer Service wait times are longer than usual."
The Federal Aviation Administration told ABC News that no air traffic staffing shortages were reported over the weekend. The agency attributed a few flight cancellations and delays on Friday to severe weather, military training and limited staffing at the Jacksonville Air Route Traffic Control Center.
The Democrats (and the agencies they own) have been relying more and more heavily for years now, on people not paying much attention to the excuses they keep making, and accepting uncritically everything they say even when their self-contradictions are staring right out of their language.
The best thing Donald Trump did in 4 years as President, was to point this out, repeatedly, whenever the Democrats did it. He had a huge wealth of material to pick from, of course. The Democrats had no defense again it (Trump telling the truth about them), so resorted to attacks against him personally, changing the subject, calling him names, and outright lying about him and what he said.
These Democrat tactics persist, and are continually increasing, to this day. Unfortunately for them (but fortunately for the country) more and more people are discovering their true nature, and are not believing them any more.
Back in the 80's the Air Traffic Controllers walked out.
Reagan ordered them back to work or get fired...said something about threat to national security
He fired 12K Air traffic controllers.
If the FAA did anything you betcha they would not tell the press about it.
(Good for them)
It's shocking how little effort people are willing to put into researching a thing before they confidently declare that the thing isn't real. Is there ANYONE who's serious about knowing the truth? Or is everyone just happy confidently bathing in their self-imposed ignorance, as long as The Narrative supports their fantasy world?
Seriously, you guys are so unbelievably gullible at this point. You just believe whatever "the authorities" tell you, and the media is worse than useless in routing out the truth - they're complicit in the lies.
Your post is spot on, we have a nation of gullible people that are easily manipulated. The spreaders of misinformation are fully aware of this and use it to their full advantage. It sad because it's causing a rapid decline in our culture.
