No, he isn't.

If he was, among other things, he wouldn't have put up fake TIME magazine covers of himself in some of his properties.

Trump is quite an insecure man.

Among other things.....

A secure man doesn't care about the crowd size at his inauguration versus his predecessor.

A secure man would steer clear of a reference to the size of his manhood in a debate, no matter what had been previously reported.

In the 80s Graydon Carter referred to Trump as a "short-fingered vulgarian". A secure man would have ignored that and let it go. Instead, Trump sent Carter pictures of himself with his hands circled for more than 25 years after that.

People don't like Trump because he said some unkind things about illegal aliens coming from Mexico.

That is all the more reason to vote for Trump.

Re your thread title....

Criticism isn't hate.

Hate takes energy.

Trump isn't worth the energy it would take to hate him.

I quite dislike Trump, but the bolded just isn't true.

Casinos owned by others even just in Atlantic City have gone bankrupt.

Everything he said about Biden is happening. He is smart and saw it and tried to warn us. We have more doom and gloom than ever and our country is being destroyed.

Trump did great things for the country. We had Freedom, low gas prices, great economy, no open borders, no inflation, no WOKE craziness. He kept us safe. He was so transparent. Hardly a day went by when you didn't hear from him what he was working on or what he thought and he took on the angry mean left media. He wasn't afraid to take their questions.

What exactly did he do that angered you so much besides just the tweets?
Trump as a person is a total a**hole but I liked his policies. Biden is a lot like Carter, Nice guy, but a terrible President. Unfortunately most Americans could care less that the country will continue its desend to mediocrity as long as the person in charge is nice ( or in recent cases, based on the persons race or gender ).

It really shouldn't be high on the list, and if you want an effective leader, you actually want them to be low in agreeableness. People who argue tend to get their way.

As for the charge of narcissism, do you believe that there's a single person who's ever sought that position that wasn't a narcissist? It comes with the territory. Using that as some kind of defense or proof of anything just tells me that you don't have much of an argument.
oh, I voted for him twice. His level of narcissism reached new heights though. And affected his ability to formulate, communicate, and execute policy and more importantly debate.

There's Douglas MacArthur narcissism, there's Hollywood starlet referring to themselves in the 3rd person narcissism, and then there's Trump.

you asked the question, in typical fashion, as expected. You got the A#1 reason that people hated him. I didn't say I hate him. But you post inane topic after inane topic, all expressing your knob-slobbering for the guy without an ounce of understanding why others don't see him in Messianic terms as you do.

The above is an often repeated gullible and intentionally uninformed person's view of Trump and his "contributions" to America. It is true only in Trumpers' diminishing bubbles. Anyone paying attention and with half a brain knows what Trump is and that he represents the worst forces and divisive tendencies in America. Trump's narcissism is not just a personality quirk, it is a mental defect that drives him for one purpose -- personal privilege and aggrandizement. Only a sap would think that Trump cares about the country beyond what he can get out of it. He has no moral compass and revels in immorality. He bullied his way through the GOP primaries as a form of entertainment. The Saps ate it up. He never learned the job as president and rejected the constitution and his own oath of office. He lied on a daily basis even when there was no reason. The only saving grace is that he tried to rule by decree, like a potentate, with Executive Orders that can be more easily rescinded. He had a Republican congress for two years but never figured it out. He could have saved his presidency by being the "infrastructure President". He never had an infrastructure plan and, of course, never had a plan for healthcare reform. He simply planned his next golf vacation. The "big lie" that he won the election after losing by millions of votes, and his efforts to overthrow the election outcome, are criminal. There has never been a more unqualified, demented, and more morally corrupt person in the White House. He is in a class by himself.

I am able to separate my dislike for him as a person (do I want him as a friend?), and my assessment of Trump the president.

I dislike his face, his hair, the way he talks, etc. He seems caustic, harsh, insensitive. And I dislike how he broke up with Ivana for Marla Maples.

I voted for him because he actually did a pretty good job, the press was unfair to him, and of course Biden/Harris is unacceptable.
I see you are in the OC.

OC had/has a pretty large republican base comparing to the rest of So Cal.

I used to always sort of rip on Trump for being a goon, but some of my Fakebook friends reminded me similar to you as saying they hired the guy to fix the country, not to be their buddy.

I thought that that was a fair assessment.

I don't usually talk much about the 2020 election, but I will forever think Trump got ripped off. Just way to much shenanigans with all of the changes to the voting rules and their just wasn't any real love for Biden, but whatever, I digress.

Liberals are listing reason after reason after excuse after whine, why they hate Donald Trump.

But one real reason exceeds them all.

Donald Trump scared the liberals more than they have ever been scared. He was publicly pointing out how futile their programs were, how seldom they delivered what they promised, how often they lied.... and also how much the media was covering up for them, ignoring their miserable results, and diverting attention to other "enemy" politicians for years. And he gave EXAMPLES time after time, which were well documented. He was actively destroying all the most important ways the Democrats were trying to stay ahead in various races, and in ways they had no way to refute.

If you want to really enrage a bunch of spoiled children, point out and refute their lies and take away their defense against getting caught and their true character revealed. They will hate you forever... especially if you were telling the truth about them.

The Democrats will take a long, long time to forget their fear and rage over Donald Trump. As you can see from their constant I-hate-Trump posts and screams against him even though he is no longer in office and hasn't been for months.

^^^^^ That's a plausible reasoning as to why some Democrats don't like Trump, but plenty of people who don't like Trump aren't Democrats, and also aren't liberals.
