Elon Musk has done more to counter climate change than anyone on the planet-he has earned his money.

Perhaps Screech Sanders could sell some of his houses to provide for the poor he claims to champion? It's not like he's ever given anything he has earned to help anyone...because it's not like he has ever actually earned anything in his life. He's been on the government dole for decades, leaching off hard-working taxpayers.

Incorrect.

Musk responded to a flippant post by a UN official who proposed that 6% of Musk's wealth could end world hunger. Musk's response? Prove it and he'll donate.

Silence from the UN shill.

He should offer the same challenge to Sanders-explain how his tax money will be spent before he "donates" it.

Elon Musk employs 110,000 Tax paying workers, how about you? If anything Bernie Sanders is a net loss to the tax payers

Let's address Haiti. How many billions have been funneled into that tiny country, to end hunger and poverty? Yet hunger and poverty remain.

My dad was a wise man that prided himself on rarely repeating the same mistake twice. He compared the US government to that person, who keeps falling for the email scam, asking for your bank acct number so that they can send you a million dollars. He wasn't wrong.
I suspect envy is the reason Musk was singled out. The same for those obsessing about Trump's tax returns.

I agree with you on the mess in Haiti. And agree with your dad's comparison of email scams and our federal government.

The top 1% are paying LESS taxes than you or I, as a % of wealth. Elon Musk specifically pays NO income taxes. he pays less than anyone else in terms of that too, by the way.

Exactly, between 2014 and 2018 Musk paid $455 million in taxes.

Technically the US government doesn't depend on tax payers since majority of the money is printed and borrowed from the central bank. The tax money collected a large portion is used to pay down the debt.

Here’s the thing that I admire about Elon musk. He doesn’t need the government to take his money. Yes he’s the richest man on the planet and you know what? He doesn’t really give a damn about money. All his endeavors have one thing in common. An attempt to better Life on this planet for all of us. Sure he wants to make money but it’s not his top priority. Who do you think would do better with the billions of dollars but he might be taxed? Elon musk and the people that work and come up with these ideas for him? Or the government? I think it’s a no brainer. Elon musk will create entire enterprises and millions of jobs if given the opportunity. If you start stealing all his money via tax? You might as well just flush it down the toilet

I think what Elon Musk said about Bernie Sanders was rude and unacceptable.
