Except if you utter the words you are told you lost the argument and to even THINK them is disrespecting those who lived and died through it. Unless you are referring to a conservative of course.

And?

I can actually live my life with no restrictions.

No.

Restrictions.

NY-ers are caged animals, begging for their master to put the lock on.

It might be that when the announced OMICRON! everyone got scared and started getting tested. Prior to this, vaccinated people who had colds didn't really bother to test. Now they all want to know if they have OMICRON! It could be a combination of a small uptick from holiday parties combined with a media-created panic. Add water and stir, and you can bring NYC to a screeching halt. There is something unnatural about the rise.

Your right. Add to that worldwide protests against lockdown tyranny that were happening

No one suggested it will be just NY. The issue we are bringing up is we have been told over and over again if you just do this, then this, then this, then this, then this, all will be well because it will work. Well NY has done all that and it's not working.

Democrats have been demonizing anyone who did not bow at the alter of Covid madness, yet look what's happening where people did. IOW, it doesn't really matter how much you try to hide from Covid. It's going to get you. The odds of dying are minimal if you are not old our have some health issue, but you will get the virus. Now people need to wake up and decide if they are going to live their entire life hiding or will they just say screw it and try to go back to a normal life?

Where did I indicate that?

I am honestly curious to see how the ones in favor of top down control of people's lives will respond to a record breaking Covid spike in a place where people are controlled willingly from the top down.

In all honesty, this entire thing is a great test case for what goes wrong when you believe the government can fix things for you.

But are people sick? Hospital admittances are up. Were the people admitted to the hospital because they were sick from covid, or were they admitted to the hospital for another reason and then tested positive for covid? If someone is in the hospital because they have a broken leg and then happen to test positive for covid but are asymptomatic, is that really a covid admittance?

"New daily COVID-19 hospitalization rates in the U.S. have risen 20 percent over the last two weeks, with 43 states and the District of Columbia seeing hospitalization rates trend upward, according to data tracked by The New York Times. number of people per 100,000 that were newly admitted to a hospital with [emphasis added] Covid-19 each day, according to data reported by hospitals to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

It's still Delta hitting. CDC says omicron is only 3% of cases.
I guess the vaccines wore off.

I’ll bet you a nickel it will be attributed to omicron.

NY/NJ was at 15% estimated omicron cases 3 days ago … I bet the real number is upwards of 50% now.

How is anyone going to be able to continue to claim masks and vaccines work?

CNN: New York state sees record daily high of new Covid-19 cases

"(CNN)New York state reported that Thursday had the highest single day count of new Covid-19 cases with 21,027, according to data released Friday.

New York's data also revealed that positive Covid-19 cases in the state jumped 154% in less than a week.

The previous high was January 14 when there were 19,942 new cases reported."
Even upstate NY might turn blue now.
