Soon the safest place in NYC is going to be Rikers Island.

Agreed. It is mind boggling, at least for me, how some of these policies (mostly coming from Democrats) appear to go easier on criminals. What is the actual end game here ? Lower crime, or just less people incarcerated ?

Here is a link to his memo.

“..... I do want to incentivize that by offering $1,000 of my own personal money to catch the person who is responsible for this,” said Adams, the Brooklyn borough president.

Why wasn't it "As long as that person is on the street" as it should have been?

Imbuing intimate objects with abilities they do not posses is pointless and absurd outside of inflammatory rhetoric.

I’ve been saying this for years. Violent criminals should be sent to Russian prisons for a fee. They know how to deal with them and we would never see them again.

^ If we did that, the cries from the Left about “racism” would be deafening. The Left already thinks our criminal justice system is too harsh and the Leftist cities and states are doing their best to accommodate the criminals.

Doing the opposite will get a fight from them bigger than even abortion.

So you don't have an issue with drug addicts wandering around your neighborhood all day, looking for things to steal?

Sadly, these locust leftist morons who vote for these people, will end up not liking the world they have created. Many will end up fleeing NY to a red state or city, bringing their destructive politics with them. They will learn nothing, and ignorantly vote for the exact same leftist politicians who will promote the same destructive policies which destroyed their previous city, making their new home a hell hole that they flee from... rinse, repeat.

All too frequently a criminal is a criminal regardless of wealth, race, country etc. Not every criminal sent to jail was screwed by the justice system nor are they worthy of a crusade. Criminals are frequently selfish and/or lack things like impulse control.

They can rationalize all they want but there has been crime and punishment since man has existed and no matter how progressive one thinks they are there will be crime and punishment until the end of society.
