"In the population in the South African study, the Pfizer vaccine's effectiveness against infection dropped down to about 30% for the omicron variant, compared with about 80% against the variant before omicron, the scientists reported."

If you are not infected you cannot spread it.
But if you are vaccinated you can.
Un-vaccinated not infected don't spread it either.

If you accept it reduces transmission-and it does, albeit at a reduced rate for the Omicron variant-the answer is visually depicted at the following link:

You can spread it if you are infected, vaccinated or not. However, the vaccinated are 30% less likely to be infected than the unvaccinated.

Covid hospitalizations are setting record numbers today, which I assume means at no other time were so many hospitalized with the virus. That would include the initial period when there were no vaccines. So, this must mean there are more unvaccinated now than when there were no vaccines?

30% is not impressive for something that most handle fairly well.

Doctor: Not my fault. Should've been vaccinated. It's a get out of jail free card for doctors.

If I were you, I'd investigate what happened once he set foot in the hospital. YMMV.
Are you SERIOUSLY expecting me to believe that all the worlds doctors are immoral liars? Or are you just suggesting that all the worlds doctors are simply incompetent!?

Would you want a device on your car that reduced the risk of serious injury in a crash by 30%?
