I think we are obsessed with sex. In other countries naked people wash in the river and walk around the beach topless . Tv and movies show all the body parts and so what. Here they spend millions having to look sexy- some even die trying. Like in the Brazilian buttlift injections. The younger people are pulling away from tradition period. They see fake marriages. All the fighting, drinking, cheating, and absent parents. They don’t want it. The same thing with hating gays, they are embracing the unisex more than ever and it has spread into their sex lives. They want to feel love - and doesn’t matter who it’s coming from.
Does it count people like Cuomo's daughter who is straight but only has physical attractions if there is an emotional attraction first - but somehow needs a weird name and is part of the cult of victimhood and under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella?
I don’t know about the rest of the world but in America it seems like the L and the G folks are becoming fairly mainstream. That is mostly the case with committed couples. They seem pretty happy and do what normal couples might do with some exceptions. Many people, maybe most, probably know someone or have a relative in that type of relationship. I have a relative and an associate who are both in longtime relationships and it is respected by people who know them. Many others would not know one way or another. The overly promiscuous or histrionic and overly affected behaviors will be less accepted. With increased acceptance into the social mainstream there will probably be less risk to be recognized as L or G and the numbers might increase.
Some of those other letter folks are less understood. And we keep adding more letters it seems.
Hey, don't let anyone discount your LGBTQ-ness. It's OK, you can now feel comfortable knowing the "% of people who identify as LGBTQ has increased" to normalize your choice/predilection. I am not -phobic (I do not fear any of you, I do not believe you're trying to convert me).
I didn't go so far as to see what the questions asked were (Gallup seems to usually do so).
Looking at the other information I quoted, it seems obvious to me. Help me understand how my simple conclusion was wrong.
A 23 yr old Gen Z WOMAN that's asked "are you bisexual" that's gone and kissed, groped, or even rolled around naked with another woman - even though she's done the same with a man - thus she answers "Yes" to bisexual....may not be that different from a Millenial married WOMAN who "settled down", found her male spouse, and now has 2 kids.
…and they’re both bi.
It is interesting how common swing clubs are in rural/suburban conservative areas. And bisexual women make the swinging world go round.
