I am not surprised by this. I recently told a realtor I was looking for a house in a district where all the schools are 8 out of 10 or greater.

He told me I was racially insensitive for thinking that way and I should expand my search to include more diverse areas.

And I would have told him that it was very racist of him to just assume that there were no good schools in diverse areas. Which I then would have followed with...Thank you very much but I will be looking for a new realtor.
