If China cannot conquer Taiwan in any way, Taiwan win. Simple as that.

No, the PLAN can sail for Taiwan within 3-5 yrs.

I will give you the proper context of 'air dominance'.

Air Dominance: The ability of an air force to compel other air forces to rearray themselves usually into subordinate postures.

Air Superiority: The ability of an air force to achieve tactical control of contested airspace, to repeat when necessary, and if there are any losses, those losses would not pose a statistical deterrence to that ability.

Air Supremacy: He flies, he dies.

Air Dominance is being so overwhelming powerful that you can get other air forces to move without fighting. US airpower is usually like this.

Air Superiority is what we had over Kosovo, Desert Storm, Viet Nam, and most of Korea. We would clear an airspace of enemy fighters, leave, came back and did it again, and again. We did have casualties but not enough to discourage us from returning.

Air Supremacy is what we had all over Iraq in the later stages of Desert Storm. Our airpower presence over Iraqi airspace was such that airborne Iraqis will just die.

Airpower is necessary in modern warfare. At its core, war is about gaining ground control and airpower supports that. Total airpower includes naval airpower. Countries that do not have navies would not include naval airpower into their calculus, of course. So when we speak of 'airpower', it depends on which country is speaking. For US, the airpower totality contain Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines.

The PLAAF may not be able to achieve air superiority over Taiwanese airspace. If PLAAF losses are such that the PLAAF must reassess their tactics, then air superiority is either lost or never gained in the first place. The PLA may lob waves of missiles but if Taiwanese defense survives and continues to inflict losses on the PLAAF, then no air superiority can be gained. The ROCAF do not need to have air superiority over their own airspace in order to inflict air-air losses on the PLAAF. Taiwanese defense know they will have to concede their airspace to the PLAAF, so ROCAF plan is going to be targeting the invasion fleet, either in docks or in transit, preferably in docks, of course. As long as the ROCAF survives and able to conduct guerrilla warfare against the PLAAF or against the PLAN, the PLAAF does not have air superiority over Taiwan.

So who has learned the most form this disaster? CHINA

By bungling another foreign policy disaster, the US has essentially given China the green light to invade Taiwan. Appeasement, as Chamberlain found prior to WW2, only emboldens tyrants and never satiates them.
That is exactly what’s going to happen. They will crash Hong Kong’s economy and move while Putin is taking Ukraine. At least our troops will be sensitive to nouns and pronouns and respectful of those fighting in tutu’s.

How did Americans let this happen to our country. From the strongest country on the planet to someone with a leader that can form a coherent sentence, is a pedophile and a complete an total moron. We need to fix this in November.. all of it.. I’d love to see a Desantis, Trump ticket

You do realize that the US does not recognize that Taiwan exists and has not recognized that it exists since 1979, right. Taiwan is China. It's 50 years late to be worrying about not having a tough on China diplomatic stance. That boat sailed long ago and back again many times over full of sweet Chinese goods to unload at American ports before sailing off empty again.

I believe that American political figures would respond with an indignant outcry, but we should not respond with anything more.
Ukraine is a separate and independent country. It has been a part of and in the Russian sphere for centuries. I think Putin wants to preemptively control the Ukraine before the West does.
Imagine how Americans would feel if Mexico joined a Russian -Chinese defense alliance.
As for Taiwan, the former Chinese province of Formosa, it would not bother me if it were repatriated by China.
The West propped up Taiwan as a hedge and stand against Communism during the cold war years.
I'm fine with China reabsorbing it's traditional territory (Hong Kong, Formosa etc.)

Actually, we do. Tacitly. We sell arms to Taiwan and no document can override that.

China WILL reunite Taiwan to the Motherland. This been in works since 1949 and NOTHING will stop that from happening. Nothing. It is one people, one blood, one womb.

It will be done peacefully and without any bloodshed. China will not shed any blood of its own children.

To be honest, it is not up to the USA, to decide such matters.

Liberalism has killed America.

We went from a nation of independent thinking, strong men who cherished liberty to a nation of gender fluid, politically correct, idiotic, hyper-sensitive nancy boys who could not win a fight against a tough elementary school.

Everything that liberalism finds to be of "value" has contributed to the weakening and erosion of American productivity and will.

Unless we can end the scourge of liberalism, we are doomed.

But once the Russian army won on the battlefields, it will be guerrilla warfare in the urban setting. This is where Taiwan comes in.

The Ukrainians have a history with firearms, the Taiwanese do not. While gun rights are not philosophically respected like the US Second Amendment, gun laws in Ukraine, for all reports so far, are quite permissive. The Taiwanese civilians do not have this experience, so the Taiwanese government is watching the Russia-Ukraine conflict as closely as China is watching.

If Russia win the guerrilla war, then China will invade Taiwan. Not in the next few yrs, but the mentality for an invasion will be even more attractive.
Taiwan will fall easily,Ukarainians are fighting with one hand tied behind there back, not set up to fight.
