The fact that they chose to purchase all these items at the time was not because they could not make their own. It was due to the fact that it wasn't economically profitable to invest and build their own while there were so many easily available brands.

And neither complicated medicine, nor diapers, are not strictly speaking necessities in the grand scheme of things. The people used to be able to live without them until 20th century.

Make a note... I loaded mine today at $3.99/gal. My prediction is somewhere in the area of $10/gal the same day of the next year.

Important medicines (I am not talking about Viagra etc. ) will continue to be shipped to Russia. India is a friend of Russia's, and at the same time the world's pharmacy. China also makes a whole lot of medicines nowadays.

Spare parts are also a matter of supply chain adaptation.
Russia had the same problem when the sanctions hit its aviation industry. Certain parts such as compound materials for wings and board electronics were no longer available, now they make those things all on their own.

Taiwanese drones used to find targets for Ukrainian fighters. Russians robbed, harassed, and killed civilians.

One can't build/create new medicine in one day. It takes time. Sure diapers are not needed i guess, neither is cloth if you want to go back enough time back in history.

Russia tried to buy parts for their airlines from China and was denied. US is considering punishing any international country that do business with Russia, good luck getting any business continue doing business with them.

Methinks the Russian military is simply collapsing in the field. IMHO Ukraine should press them to surrender and go for a true victory...they are on the ropes
