So, you are saying we need to send in troops to Ukraine. Go it.

2. We need to stop using Russian energy yesterday.
I notice this does not actually respond to my comment about caving in to Putin's demands. Not surprised.

You are always so obstinate. You've double downed on stupid going for a third try? Anyway I know your posting patterns and you do nothing more than try to agitate people. So the discussion ends here.

why would that make Biden brilliant? Biden is not the peacemaker people assume he would be.

Considering how right-leaning this forum is, 61-127 is a decent poll result.

It's about 33%, but in a population that is probably 75-80% blind-hatred for anything Biden does.

In the real world, I think he's getting about40% approval on this topic, which is odd, considering he's doing exactly what everyone said he should do, until he started doing it.

The argument coming from the right has been: Putin invaded Ukraine because he thought Biden was weak and stupid and used that weakness and stupidity as an opportunity.

Thus, if Putin actually ends up losing the war, it will turn out that it was Putin who was weak and stupid, not Biden. It will be easy to follow the same kind of logic the right has been using, and counter-claim that Biden was brilliant in letting Putin fall into his own self-destructive trap.

Biden isn’t handling our own country’s issues very well, much less the Ukraine issues.

Biden had everything to do with this...along with our new ”woke” culture.....and neutered sexuality

Putin can not lose....and he will not lose this no matter what it takes....and that includes using nukes

...they've already targeted civilians...blown up schools....etc...everything is a target to him

he will win this no matter what...because he knows he can't remain ”Putin” and lose

that leaves the rest of us with only two choices....stay out of it and let him have all of Ukraine....or get in the middle and guarantee we all have a nuke war

will Putin use nukes?.....absolutely if he has to...he won't even think twice about it

there is really not much Biden could do once things started up. No president would have been able to do anything but sanctions without leading some seriously bad things for everybody. This said its his very image and posture that could have been the cause of this and his failure in Afghanistan. He simply comes off as weak and meek. The Russians thought Biden and the West would do nothing so felt this was the time to strike. Something that did not and very likely never would have happened under Trump. Say what you like about Trump but only a hyper partisan would say he appeared weak. And appearance is everything doesn't matter if Trump was weak or not or if Biden is strong or not, it matters only how a leader is perceived that can either encourage or discourage other Nations behavior.

What do you want him to do differently though? If he puts boots on the ground and WW3 happens as a result and millions die, he’ll be blamed for it.

If he sanctions Russian billionaires, but not Russian oil and gas because Europe will suffer from said sanctions, he’ll get blamed for it.

What? Biden should have supplied Ukraine with more military weapons back in 2014 when he wasn’t President?

The fact is, this is a sucky time to be an American President. You can’t win no matter what you do but the buck still stops with you. (Shrug)
