Most white people were not that privileged, there are plenty of poor white people and throughout history white people lived and worked in appalling conditions, had life expectancies as low as 26 and were slaughtered on battlefields.
The Jim Crow laws were unique to the US and were wrong, however today blame candidates have more chance of securing a job due to diversity targets rather than qualifications or experience.
As for reparations, if Jon Stewart and Oprah Winfrey, want to divide their money among the poor then that's great and I fully support celebrities and Hollywood stars being paid less and having their money divided up to help the poor and minorities.
The rest of us don't have the money or resources to pay reparations and have not had the privileged celebrity lives, so lets pass a law and strip the celebrities of their money and assets, as this would help the poorest in society.
As for Oprah Winfrey she's well known for allegations relating to being economical with the truth, as well as being a total idiot.
The truth is some shops and labels are snobbish, however it;s not usually based on race, they just don't want to sell their goods to celebrity morons, which is why Voyage in London turned away the likes of Madonna and Julia Roberts, and why Ferrari bans certain celebrity idiots from it's waiting lists.
As for luxury handbags, the biggest purchases at Asprey in London are middle eastern women tourists often dressed in head scarfs or veils, and the same applies to other luxury goods and services.

I seriously doubt a multi billionaire like Oprah isn't almost to the top of whatever ladder she was talking about in the video. I roll my eyes when millionaire minorities lecture white middle class Americans about privilege. What Oprah should be doing on a daily basis is describing the journey she made to get to where she is today. I don't think it was because she told herself she was a victim of the system and no matter what would never achieve success in America.

But, they still have their whiteness!
Unless you can change their race, they will always have that white privilege. So there's no way to argue since race is the only determining factor in this privilege and it can't be changed.
Oprah is a self loathing bubble dweller. She is accomplished and respected but only sees race.
