I’m positive. The stats don’t lie. And it’s not stupidity. Many have irregular cycles and/or are on birth control and have scanty or missing period regularly. Or have the experience I did. I was sure I was NOT pregnant with my second child because I had implantation bleeding. That’s bleeding that occurs at the same time a woman would typically be getting her period. It wasn’t until I was late the next month that I went to the doctor for a test. This is a common occurrence. I was past the 6 week mark and the Texas Taliban would have denied me an abortion.
You sound like you're a guy. I'm a woman. Even if you use bc there is ALWAYS a chance you could be pregnant. It's that's kind of self-awareness and responsibility I'm talking about.
Who is to say that those 49 year old laws will still be used?
There are people in here and elsewhere saying that the states will completely ban abortion, the pills, BC, then go after gays, and blacks, and then whatever else comes into their pointy little heads.
You can't blame them for thinking that. After all, who thought a 50-year-old precedent would be tossed to the wayside? None of the Supreme Court justices for sure. Oh wait . . .

RBG knew it would. She commented on its poor Constitutional standing.

She thought it should have been part of equal rights, that it didn't go far enough to be protected under the Constitution. She was all for women having choices regarding their own bodies.
Clinics are overwhelmed right now with people who are panicked over the impending SCOTUS decision. If she had a narrow window for the procedure, Virginia might have been her best option. At present, Virginia providers will perform abortions up to 25 weeks. Oklahoma is 15 weeks. Colorado would have been an option, too, but they might have already been booked.

Berdee doesn't want to believe what is going on. Granted it's pretty horrific what some states have done and have planned with their trigger laws. Who woulda thunk it could happen.

I kind of did.
Pendulums swing.
And despite what the right is saying, I fully believe Marriage Equality Act is the next to go.
There's that much hate in the US. That much desire to control other people, despite the right saying the left is controlling them.

The hate seems to coming from all the people desperate to kill the unborn.
Why all the focus on abortion?
* the morning after pill is available over the counter in all 50 states. It is 89% effective within 3 days of unprotected sex.
* birth control pills are available in all 50 states. They are 91% effective when used properly.
* condoms are available in all 50 states. They are 98% effective when used properly.
* IUDs are available in all 50 states. They are 99% effective.
Edit…your comment about the “desire to control other people” is off the mark. It is the left who wants forced vaccinations, restrictions on free speech, restrictions on gun rights and property rights….and so,‘‘em can still get abortions, even in Texas.
