There are far more immigrants who wish to come to the US than there are spots available to legally accommodate them. Basically, if you don’t have existing family in the US or you don’t have exceptional job skills, there are only 55,000 spots allocated via a Diversity Lottery to get a Visa. 13 million people applied for this 55,000 spots in 2020.
In short, poor, uneducated immigrants without family in the US have virtually no chance of getting in legally.
Yes, this is true. I'm sure several billion people worldwide, with or without high-level skills and education, would like to immigrate to the U.S. if they could.
I still don't know what you mean by the U.S. immigration system being an impossibility. Are you suggesting the U.S. let everyone enter and stay because they want to live in the U.S.?
He knows nobody supports illegal immigration. That’s why he intentionally mixes legal immigration for illegal immigration.
I have family members and acquaintances who do support illegal migration. I think many people do but won't outright admit it.
Whenever I ask the question "Do you condone illegal migration?" on CD, those who oppose it straightforwardly say "No." Those who I suspect condone it equivocate, obfuscate, or refuse to answer. It's funny to see how they don't have the guts to stand up for their belief and give a straightforward "Yes."
At any rate, I always get an answer, even if it's not direct.
SCOTUS has never ruled on a case involving the offspring of illegal alien parents and it's time that they did. The wording in the 14th Amendment is quite clear that they are not birthright citizens.
SCOTUS held that in United States v. Wong Kim Ark in 1898 under the Fourteenth Amendment, a man born within the United States to Chinese citizens who have a permanent domicile and residence in the United States and are carrying out business in the United States—and whose parents were not employed in a diplomatic or other official capacity by a foreign power—was a citizen of the United States.
This Canadian has finished this USA Civics Class for today. Now go enjoy the rest of it and drive like you know us.
You know darn well that there is a significant anti-immigrant of any kind sentiment among many Americans.
The biggest violators are those who pay human smugglers thousands of dollars to cross our border illegally. They also send back thousands in remittances. Yet they qualify for free health care. How is that remotely fair.
I thought you were finished with your civics lesson today. But, you must enjoy interfacing with us obnoxious Americans on CD. Is it one of those secret love-hate relationships?

Don't expect a straight answer from normie.
