So, the US Undersecretary of State is a tinfoil hat wearer too?

No, that’s what biological research labs are, bioweapons labs. What is your problem? Are you really that clueless? What do you think these labs do?

Look, the US Department of Defense isn’t in the business of missionary work, or finding the cure for cancer. They are in the business of war, and weapons of war, and any biological research activity would obviously be connected to warfare and weapons, i.e., biological weapons.

And that’s what has the Russians all worked up about, and justifiably so.

And, by the way, there is plenty of scientific documentation regarding genetically engineered, genome specific biological agents that can target ethnic groups specifically. That too is a reality, and that is precisely what the Russians claim to have discovered in materials secured from one of these Ukrainian bioweapons labs, which they have brought to the attention of the United Nations. Bioweapons development activities designed to specifically target Russians.

Meanwhile, on the gas front, Putin has foolishly allowed Europe to fill their gas reserves to 94%. Foolishly, I say, because it was obvious that Europe was buying more gas than they could possibly need. Putin, chuckling maniacally, planned to turn off the gas in winter, but failed to account for the fact that Europe knew this (because he told them) and were storing gas so that they would not need it when Putin turned off the taps.
This caused gas futures to momentarily go negative, meaning gas sellers (Russia) were paying buyers to just "take the stuff".
Is Putin any smarter than Biden?
I don’t know where you get this ridiculously erroneous information, but you have thoroughly demonstrated your unwavering desire to remain ignorant of the real facts. It’s inexplicable as to why anyone would want to be this way, but what other conclusion could one come to?

Europe is facing an energy crisis already, and winter has barely arrived there. Germany is in trouble, as is much of EUROPE, in spite of these childish fairytales you’re promoting.

Interesting statements from an exiled Ukrainian, who is not pro-Russian at all, by the way, he even calls the invasion a war crime (which is silly, but still...)

Funny how the West is whining about the attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, that's terrorism, bla bla bla. But they did exactly the same when they attacked Serbia 23 years ago:

A former SBU agent talks about how Ukraine brainwashes children:

Quote:
"Children are starting to think that Jesus Christ was a Ukrainian": Ex-SBU officer told how Ukrainian children are taught alternative history

"The children were told about the "heroes" of the Ukrainian front, "heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine", they were told that not people live in the Donbass, but animals, and how valiant fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine protect Ukraine from "terrible orcs," said Vasily Prozorov, ex-employee of the SBU, creator and head of the investigative journalism project "Ukr Leaks".

Prozorov also said that in the books that were found in school libraries, they found an edition where it was told that all great people were Ukrainians.

"It's mostly read by children, since they found the books at schools. They absorb it all like a sponge. And they begin to seriously think that Queen Anne of Austria, for example, was Ukrainian, that a Ukrainian brought coffee to Europe, that Jesus Christ was Ukrainian. They are starting to believe in it and it's scary," he concluded.

Russia abandoned the grain deal today after Ukraine tried to attack Russian ships last night, ships that are used to guarantee the safe passage of those grain ships.
The deal was a fraud, anyway. The West did not fulfil its obligations of the deal at all. There are still hundreds of thousands of tons of fertilizer sitting in European ports because the West does not enable their export to Africa etc., although they guaranteed to do so. And most of the exported grain goes to Europe, not to the global south where it should have gone. Russia had warned them repeatedly.
Once again, the whole world sees who the villain is, that tries to starve the global south for its own, geopolitical reasons.

So what is the over/under on the eventual Ukrainian assault on Kherson?

Will it coincide with the mid-terms? Like I said earlier, the snowfall will start within the next few weeks, and I think Russia is going to try to turn the city into Stalingrad 2.0, with icy, snowed out trench warfare, permafrost, mud, tank battles and house-to-house fighting. A real meat grinder not seen since WWII, like Mariupol but bigger.

As in a Stalingrad situation, the Russians run the risk of a large force being pushed back into the river and a large number of men they can't replace killed or captured. Or, the Ukrainians being frozen out ala the German Sixth Army and caught into a pocket within the city. Could go either way.

Guarantee the safe passage from who exactly? Somali pirates? They were there to give leverage via intimidation and control, and were the reason for such a backlog of grain ships trying to pass through.

It's interesting how Russia spends weeks attacking civilian buildings and infrastructure, then when Ukraine attacks their warships... OMG how dare they!

Zelensky: Russia started to deliberately worsen food crisis month ago
Quote:
It was doing so by creating artificial queues of vessels in Ukrainian ports, Zelensky said. According to him, from September to today, 176 vessels carrying over 2 million metric tons of grain can't follow their "grain corridor" route. Some cargo ships have been waiting for more than three weeks.

"This is Russia's absolutely deliberate (move). This is its absolutely transparent intention to start threatening Africa and Asia with large-scale famine again," the president said.
