There was a police officer at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas HS...but he didn't do anything to stop the nutjob there that killed 17

The best solution is virtual schooling if physical security from potential attackers is the primary concern.

So here’s the plan. Pass it on. When you see a kid at the playground throwing rocks at other kids, make sure you give all the other kids rocks too.

As long as their target is the little twerp who started throwing rocks at other people, I'm down with this.

What you need is a moving defense. Security in the school, parking lot, on the buses and driving around the school. Do not let a shooter think any point is safe or weak. And when something happens, swarm it. Second point, we have gone way over board on the "rights of the individual." Over and over we see this happen and it turns out the person was nuts. The school, police, FBI, doctors, enough people knew it and had evidence of it that they could have done something ahead of time. We need to identify these people ahead of time and either make sure they do not get a gun or better yet, lock them up and see that they get the help they need.
So you want to turn schools into prisons?

That's better than the democrats fairy land solution of trying to remove every rock from the country.

Maybe hire more school resource officers. And yes having teachers armed would be a good idea if it was done the right way.

Sounds like a great plan for self-defense.

"Run, Hide, Fight" is one of the basic training techniques for active shooter situations which could be applied here. If they can't run or hide and have the weapons to fight back, throwing a few rocks back at the kid will probably get the kid to stop.
