I think seeing something like that on tv would have totally sickened those who see Trump for the demigod he thinks he is but it likely would have emboldened Trump’s supporters and reinforced their belief in anything goes to help/support Trump…
I don’t think Trump would have remained in office because he really didn’t have the Joint Chiefs supporting him
But it would have been a genuinely messy process…
And the fact is that Biden (Trump’s real threat) wasn’t anywhere NEAR the Capital that day…
I was wondering the what if last night. Knowing what we know about his staff and Cabinet now, I think they would have 25th him while he was still at the Capitol especially if there had been bloodshed. On the other hand, the Secret Service was never going to let him go under any circumstance. The fact we're even thinking about this is a very sad and telling moment in American hiistory.
The just totally ironic and hypocritical and WRONG aspect of the Tweet is that she is still working for the GOP in Congress—
She went to her job today—knowing that whoever is controlling that Twitter feed has totally trashed her actions
How STUPID is that—she is still in a position to know what could be damaging information about GOP actions and planning

And Fox News (as MSNBC commentators pointed out today) will pass along all that incorrect propaganda and Fox watchers will believe that she works for Nancy Pelosi—which she doesn’t—

I know what everyone who was watching saw and heard from people who were there with Trump behind the scenes, and I know when sound bites are taken out of context. You should learn that trick.
And you also know that he told folks to protest peacefully and patriotically and also told them to be peaceful during the riot, and also told them to go home. You just want it to be damning.

There is video of several of them reading the last tweet immediately after he sent it. The tweet is time stamped, so there is no doubting when it was sent. Except several doesn’t mean they or all would’ve stopped. After all, they were supposedly so unruly trying to hang someone and take over the Capitol that there’s no way they could’ve been doing all of that and watching their phones at the same time.

Nope. But I realized that I did have a typo on the year, it was 2020 and not 2021.
