Let us not forget that Mr. Trump's legal team has until 8 p.m. tonight to respond to the brief filed last night (a short time period; probably why the DOJ waited until the last second to file), and then both parties are due in Judge Cannon's court on Thursday for oral arguments. I would not be surprised if Judge Cannon allowed Mr. Trump an extra day to respond, and thus hold the hearing on Friday.

So after Donald Trump and his attorneys told the DOJ they returned all classified documents, the FBI then found all of this?

And Republicans are saying the search warrant wasn’t justified?

It's going to be hard for Republicans to look at that picture and read that damning DOJ response and continue to support Trump. I predict we will see a lot of Republicans starting to jump ship.

ETA a good link to the picture.

I get a broken link: Hmm...this page doesn’t exist. Try searching for something else

But it'd would be hard for the DOJ to say anything since I dont trust them.

Prominent far-right politicians and TV pundits tried to hang in there for Donny as long as they could, but they can't publicly support the orange blob any longer after last night's incredibly damning filing from the DOJ.

He's finished

Over the next few days, you will notice high-profile conservatives publicly distancing themselves from Trump, people you wouldn't expect. It has already begun, but it will become glaringly obvious by the end of the week. Everyone is hearing the same rumors; Trump is done.

LAURA INGRAHAM: Time to turn the page on Trump.
BEN SHAPIRO: Stop talking about Trump.
ANN COULTER: Trump’s done.
DRUDGE: Trump indictment watch.

Also, THIS is why the warrant was necessary. It's also almost certainly the bit about "obstruction" in the search warrant.

Imagine that the padlocked door is next to the swimming pool in a hotel/resort.

The other "secure" location where top secret documents were found was in Trump's desk drawer in his home office.

Perhaps they recently searched the Bedminster club and Trump Tower. Maybe that's why Trump went off-the-rails posting online the past few days. The only reason the public learned of the Mar-a-Lago search was because Trump posted about it. Perhaps this time he didn't tell.

You could be right about that. Amazing though that he wouldn't have mentioned it in his truthing spree yesterday.

Literal textbook definition of obstruction and lying to federal investigators.

Put a fork in that orange POS, he's done

"DOJ's filing includes written assurance given to DOJ by Trump’s “custodian of records” on June 3 that Trump’s team had done a thorough search for any classified material in response to a subpoena and had turned over any relevant documents.
