Just a Thursday morning reminder: Donald Trump had top secret classified documents about our NSA spies abroad and nuclear secrets of a foreign country sitting in a storage closet next to the waffle buffet.
The fact that he had these documents is indefensible. Period. Full stop.
Ignore the far-right Trump voters who are trying their best to downplay this issue.
Who says he had these documents? "Anonymous sources at WaPo"? Yeah, full stop for this nonsense.
Intent is not needed. It is illegal to remove NDI documents from any federal facility, period. Intent doesn't matter. It is also illegal to show NDI documents to people without the proper security clearance. Again, the intent doesn't matter.
The FBI now has evidence that both of these crimes were committed by Trump.
That Trump loyalists here don't question why an ex POTUS has NDI documents at his home years after he left office shows that they have no concern for the country at large. Even folks like the FOX talking heads have enough sense to ask "why would he do that?".
Anyone who cant seriously ask themselves why an ex POTUS would have these in his possession and try to hide that fact from the government just simply doesn't have the courage and desire to know the truth about their hero.
You got him this time detective gadget!
You didn't address the point of the post at all. Trying to introduce mockery into the discussion does not advance your position nor deflect from Trump's problems.
You have nothing worthwhile to say about it.
I realize that you and many others are going through cognitive dissonance, and you can't stay there forever. You can either accept the facts and adjust your thinking to reality, or deny the truth and retreat to fantasy.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, that is what you will do.

False. x3
Intent is mentioned in all three of the laws that were listed on the warrant, the DOJ will be required to prove that there was intent.

You have no clue as to what they have, or IF there was actually a crime.

So, your answer is to fret, scream and stamp your feet over things that are unknown, since very little of anything has been proven at this point? I bet you're fun at parties.
They couldn't. There is only one resolution to this: court of law.
We have so many budding attorneys on C-D, so confident that there is an iron clad proof Trump broke the law and 'stole' documents, yet Trump has not been charged or convicted yet.
Also you, 8 September, 11:03 AM:

So, we’re budding attorneys-but you feel personally qualified to determine Constitutionality of laws.
That argument is both specious and hypocritical. Real lawyers certainly appear to think Trump probably broke a law, including a former Attorney General, and your post is the first time I’ve seen it argued the PRA is unconstitutional. I think I’ll choose to believe the many real professionals who are seriously disconcerted by his apparent behavior.

No. The detailed inventory available directly from the DOJ says Trump had classified documents. No media spin there.
