CURRENTLY strains during summer months. They will be extending rolling blackouts in winter with no gas applicances and all EVs.

On the bright side...gas cars won't have to be built to CA standards since CA won't be selling any gas cars.

Blackout events occur year round in CA. This new ban will affect those in mountain communities the most, but that's no surprise, since these folks tend to vote red.

I know a lot of folks here in Texas were happy to have natural gas as a backup energy source during the winter storm last year. We would have been very, very cold without it. A lot more people probably would have frozen to death.
