With all the satellites, radar, etc. that countries use people at the top (globally) know who did it.

We don't....but they do.

I'm pretty sure Europe needed NS1 (and ultimately NS2, otherwise it would not have been built between Germany and Russia).

As winter approaches, energy consumption is going up, the Europeans are going to really going to pay the price, literally and potentially face a life threatening situation when temperatures dip. Their economy is in the toilet.

Those sitting pretty in the US don't seem to care....war, war, war, let's go to war.

So a black mermaid blew up the pipeline.

The end of the story, no matter which way it swings, is that Europe is totally dependent on outsiders...for just about everything.

Congratulations! This is the reality.

LNG is a commodity. Sure, it was convenient to trade with Russia, but so it goes.

Ask yourself, what country has something to gain by attacking the pipeline? Russia? Of course not-they can accomplish the same thing by shutting off the tap on their end-and they WANT NG to flow for revenue. Much of Europe? Of course not-while they are boycotting Russian NG now, they may well want to overturn that decision come winter when people start freezing in their homes. And again, they can shut off the flow and enforce the boycott by shutting off the tap on their end.

Now, the only logical aggressor would be one that wants to ensure the flow of Russian NG does not re-start, should Europeans change their mind and elect to end the embargo. One that would want to keep that flow of gas stopped-regardless of the impact on European citizens or businesses. And perhaps one that tends to profit from selling his country's more expensive NG stocks to Europe while Russian sources are shut down. Ask yourself-who benefits from this attack?

Why would Russia need to blow up the underwater pipeline to shut it down when they can simply just turn it off?

I firmly believe that the US did this. It's a great opportunity to have much higher oil prices and crank up the misery level while blaming it on someone else.
