yes the original pipeline already exists... the expansion is actually a shortcut... and that pipeline DOES link right into out reserve

funny you calling the Canadian oil sludge....Canada is our main (#1) importer of oil

Show a valid link that reflects what you say about the pipeline, it doesn't go into our reserve and it isn't used to transport petroleum to Canada....

Keep looking for "traitors" you'll find them in your own political closet....

who said anything about sending Canada oil..... Canada has been the number 1 importer (sending to us) of oil for 40 years

Cushing, OK and Baker, MT are where our reserves are... keystone original goes all the way down to port Arthur, TC..the keystone XL (expansion) would have gone right through Baker, MT

If you want to debate, at least come to the table with a few facts in your corner

Not reading the whole thread, but has anyone pointed out the thread title is wrong?

OPEC is not cutting production, they are cutting the quota. They've been missing their quota by 3 million barrels, so they're cutting the quota by 2 million barrels. No less oil will be pumped than before.

Of course, that won't stop prices from going up, but I like it when the details are right.

You said "funny you calling the Canadian oil sludge....Canada is our main (#1) importer of oil" to import means we are sending oil to Canada, your words.

Nice map, pity that the Strategic Oil Reserve is located in Texas & Louisiana "The reserve is stored at four sites on the Gulf of Mexico, each located near a major center of petrochemical refining and processing" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strate...(United_States)

If you want a proper discussion try bring valid information.......

uhm..you are confusing import and export

Canada is the number1 (since the late 70's) IMPORTER of oil INTO the USA... oil we send out, is EXPORTED out of the country....

Exactly.

Maybe if the left wasn’t so against domestic energy production, we wouldn’t be in this situation.

Do you even need that many reasons?

I stopped counting at one: taxes. Democrats want to raise them, Republicans have been cutting them.

No confusion just using your words and Prior to 2014 OPEC sources were our primary import source not Canada https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/...nd-exports.php
