Biden also banning drilling on some Native American lands which the Native tribes oppose since they would have collect royalties from the drilling companies. How very supportive of this Administration of one of the poorest demographic groups in the country right? All because Biden is bending over and letting the environmentalist whackos dictate his agenda

The Biden administration is expected to soon finalize a rule banning oil and gas leasing near a Native American historical site despite heavy opposition from local Indigenous leaders, who say the administration's rule would prevent them from collecting royalties on their land.

Because consumers aren't driving as much due to inflation..that is gas consumption.

That was an earlier topic yes...not what I was responding to.

Bottom line still is that oil production has grown substantially since Biden took over. Near all time highs. Was only ever higher for around a year in 2019/20. Significantly higher than Trump's first year of 2017 and most of 2018.

Because the economy opened back up after the pandemic shutdowns led by Blue states so of course oil production would rise once businesses were allowed to operate again. This is not because of Biden's policies. He wants to shrink oil consumption by design. At least admit that much

You guys don't realize that these companies are cartels, and they price gauge the entire planet. They have control of the prices. The president does not.

You're defending the very people who are f*ing you over. Take the power away from gas giants.

This President has discouraged oil production until he realized that the high cost of fuel will tank the economy. Now he's a little too late in trying to change his rhetoric

Obviously there are market factors involved in the price of crude but that's not to say that government policies can't encourage/discourage domestic oil production. OPEC is cutting oil production because China's economy has basically come to a stop. in a few weeks or so watch gas prices shoot through the roof again across the US. This will have an impact on our economy and inflation. A 2 million barrel a day cut would be the deepest cut in oil production since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Definitely not good news for anyone (except environmentalist whackos)

So if we are going to focus on gasoline shouldn't we compare gasoline production to gasoline consumption?

If we are doing it for oil production, shouldn't we look at oil consumption?

Not trying to be argumentative, just not following what you're trying to do there.
