Much of that higher price, though, is not due to the cost of "benzene" but higher, much higher, liquid fuel taxes than in the US.
Maybe, another difference is that the USA makes a lot of our own gasoline/benzene whereas Europe doesn't and they pay a higher premium to secure it from other countries.
What always fascinated me as I drove through a myriad of European countries, some out of the EU and far poorer (like the Balkans) the price was similar without huge differences. Certainly, in poorer countries, out of the EU, why would they impose such high tax rates?
We have sensors in place that can sense things as small as a soft ball flying through the air. We have incredibly sensitive underwater sensors as well. We have geostationary spy satellites with high resolution. I find it next to impossible that nobody saw anything suspicious just off shore of one of the most densely settled areas of the planet, in Danish waters, in an area full of shipping.
I also find it funny that the media is largely ignoring this monumental story. How has a suspect not been named yet? How is it that all of the incriminating evidence has not been showcased?
If it was not conducted by a state, then it's a form of eco-terrorism, which is frightening in it's own way and that should gain traction in the media. But I think we all tend to think it was conducted by a state.
It's odd nobody is discussing it outside of some social media. I'd expect old putin to make some accusation.
The actions taken by this failed Biden regime to kneecap domestic oil exploration, production and refinement have been documented ad nauseum on this forum and elsewhere.
