What an idiot, there are only 2 means to accomplish this:
1. Congress votes themselves out of a job.
2. Akin to the repeal of prohibition a century ago, a majority of states must vote individually.
Then they have to do it again, I believe with 40 states; would have to look it up though.

ah Because the majority of people in this nation seem to support those term limits. Including most on these boards. Except of course those whose hatred of Trump is so great they just ignore what they themselves have supported. The Constitution can be changed and has been heck the 22ned amendment limits the Presidency to two terms so its more than possible to do.

Along with a lot of other fibs which were applauded and eaten up whole by his adoring audience last night, Trump again said he'd impose term limits on Congress. He of course has no power to do that but they didn't know that last night, and obviously some people on this thread don't know it.

But there is an interesting discussion on this subject by the Cato Institute, which I bring up because there was a bipartisan effort to do something about term limits in 2019 and they made a quick study of it. It's here:

A pundit on TV just made an interesting point. Even should Trump win he is like a lame duck from the start. One term and out. That makes him half the candidate of others.

Well part of the reason is that the other side fights them all the way on what they want to do.

What is a Trump promise worth? Not even the cost of air it takes to breath it out of his mouth.
