Let's hear it for well armed militias! No, let's not.

How about we try keeping violent criminals locked up and crazy people institutionalized instead?

You know, like we did for the first 200 years or so....

If you can assure me that after the guns are banned, no children will be harmed, I would be right there with you.

In reality, you just want to murder children! When law abiding citizens don’t have guns, only bad guys will have guns.

Having a handgun saved me from at least getting mugged twice, maybe murdered who knows.
I will NOT give up my guns.

That would be a solid start.

This might be an example:

Possession of any handgun by an individual under 21 is illegal in the State.

Note the bail.

Odds are they will commit more crimes while out on the signature bond.

Maybe. But at least they promised to not be around firearms.

This happens regularly in that particular County (Charles) and while other cases for different crimes name the Judge involved about 90% of the time, the stories that feature illegal gun possession with O.R. never have the Judge's name.

Guns don't kill people. People kill people, with guns...

Semiautomatics have been the most popular type of gun sold to the American public since 1911. They make up probably 75% of the over 300 million guns in America.

When did people start using them in the above manner?

That's what our Founding Fathers thought.....obviously.

But in all serious. For home protection do you NEED a semi-automatic.

Or is the desire to have one in keeping with the idea of a civilian militia.

These are genuine, sincere questions. OVer the years my naivety about guns and gun ownershi[p and the patient and willingness of those to inform has made me understand much of the rationale against gun control measures thrown out. So don't come at me.
