Those type of people had better hope other people are more tolerant than they themselves are as they fall into the minority.

You've just admitted that you have bias against people with different views than you have. That's the definition of being a bigot. /whatever/

Just more liberal hypocrisy. let me guess ... these Christian "friends" of yours ... belong to pro LGBTQ churches? Probably have a gay man/woman as the pastor?

Yet you labeled them all "bigots" ......

The laws effect civil marriages so leave it at that.
Let churches and their congregations decided what they want to accept.

It's like you're living in cartoon land. Do you not actually know any gay couples? Are you relying on the media drag shows as your information about who wants to just live their lives, included, in the public?

I ask, because if you live a moderately social life and work in somewhere in the public, you do know gay people but they don't tell you they're gay.

Yep. Those Christian, fortunately, do exist. I love and respect them. The ones who judge, I still love but have absolutely no respect for.

That's how it is now. So what's your gripe?

Forgive them, they know not what they do. Er, something like that?

They literally have no idea what incredible hypocrites they are. They think that they are righteous. Similar to the hey I have a bunch of [insert race/religion] friends, so that means I'm totally cool.

Be nice if someday the blinders fell off.

They should have the right to decide. And I can have no absolutely respect for them based on their decisions. If I consider them bigots and I do, that comes under my rights.

A good thing to do! The right thing to do! Why do you scoff at it?

The question wasn't directed at me....but that never stops me from answering lol.

I scoff at it not because I have anything against gay marriage, but because I believe in being able to vote with your feet.

And anything that weakens states rights, makes voting with your feet less of a viable solution.

In short, live and let live is a two way street..

It requires both not caring if LGBTQ folks want to get married, but it also requires that states be allowed to make their own laws on the subject.
