The fact that it’s being pushed so hard in all areas of life by govt and media tells me there is some ulterior motive behind it. Same for the abortion issue. It all adds to the destruction of the family unit and life as we know it.

Again, this doesn’t mean gay people are bad or evil. Always have to put that disclaimer now for the libs on C-D.

Why are you thinking about how other people have sex?? That's creepy as hell.

"It's different when straight people do it!"
How straight are you, if you do that anyway? Maybe that should be a new protected group.

The same reasons straight people get married.

If you stumbled into a discussion that brought up bestiality, would thought of that creep you out? There have been discussions about gay sex in the thread. Are you still wondering about why someone thought about it, or not?

I don't get why some people don't get it either. Same sex couples want to declare their love and devotion, live together and enjoy the legal protections of sharing their lives, maybe even adopt children. People asking why, have not thought it thru at all.

It seems to be a very important feature to adult films pandering to male audiences. But in real life, probably a little less often than gay males couples, and a little more often than female lesbian couples.

These laws were for the jewish people in ancient times and haven't been in effect for centuries

We would never get past our fingers and toes.

Tuning out the predictable things, life's normal experiences, makes new discoveries (learning) possible.

So, yes, there is always that which is normal, to include normal sex, and this normal sex is the reason any of us are here.

For most of human existence, what normal sex was never became a question.

Everyone knew what it was...boring, sure, but we cannot divorce ourselves from it or demote it to just another base indulgency without compromising the value of evolved husbands and fathers, evolved wives and mothers and the families their normal unions create.

In 1984, O'Brien tells Smith that two plus two equals three, or five, or anything else the party says.

Smith cannot agree to this and is tortured for refusing to believe what he knows cannot be true.

The lesson is that thought manipulation (social engineering) is only achieved when a lie becomes truth and dissenting voices are silenced.

Democrats think 1984 is a blueprint for society.

I personally couldn't care less who marries who.

But you'll never convince me that 2+2=3.

Congress hasn't done anything, and won't do anything on abortion either.

Because to really codify it into law, you need a constitutional amendment.

And that's never going to happen because:

1. Democrats don't have the stones to get 38 states to vote on anything.

2. Democrats would rather keep these as wedge issues to use in their arsenal of identity politics.

It's none of my business or concern if two homosexuals find some sort of equivalency between man-on-man sex and normal sex between a man and a woman or if they believe their unnatural sexual union has a purpose beyond their own self-indulgence.

But when the power of the state is harnessed to change the meaning of words such that thought is confronted and curtailed, we have a problem.
Lol, sounds like you don't like the world changing? Unnatural?? You care more about the weak semantics of a word (and yet, do not have a problem with the rest of changes to marriage) than the social acceptance (and whatever benefits come from the re-definition) of gay couples, just face it. This doesn't affect you in any way, zero. But your specific definition of a mutable and already very mutated word is hurt?? You are the snowflake, and have no real ground to stand on. Gay couples being normal is scary to you, and that's hilarious.
