According to Stanford, even using the word "Americans" is 'harmful language', it's insensitive, not inclusive and is dangerous language that they are actually attempting to cancel. Not a Joke.

They are advising employees to use "US Citizens" in place of "Americans".

American, grandfather, brave and master: Words Stanford University includes in its index of 'harmful language' because they are 'ableist, sexist or racist'

There is so much funding for things that are not the function of government and they have no damn business using our tax dollars to pay for.

We're going on almost 30 years of planning, funding and construction at this point, with at least another 7 years before Merced to Bakersfield opens. (Planning began 1996).
Wow..that is a complete and total failure.

They literally couldn't give a crap less about the taxpayer.

With insane inflation now and to pass this bill is literally giving the people the double bird right in our faces. I've never seen such blatant disrespect for the tax payers before.

Inflation? No worries; simply crank up the printing press and watch the money fly out. It's magic, and so very irresponsible.
Shame on any congressional member who voted for the omnibus bill, to and including the Republicans who went along with this stunt.
Talk about selling this country down the river. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.

Both sides of the same coin.

I always vote libertarian because the rigged system won't let them in the debates.

Tired of politics and that is probably what they want. Think it was all a gimmick always talking about things what bathrooms .2% of people use to distract from anything that really effects us.

The idea is not bad, the more options one has, the less they have to deal with traffic.

But the execution is absurd.

Our debt to GDP is forecast to hit 200% in the next 30 years.
What would happen if we had to enter a War that will cost $100T to defend and save our nation?
Do we just throw up our hands and take the loss because we just don't have that kind of money?

These omnibus bills are circular firing squads. Designed like that on purpose. Because enough object over certain issues in the bill those against are scapegoated as being against everything/the most emotional/hot button issues in the bill. Some go along because they want the virtue signaling political capital.

And "bipartisan"? Code for the smoke filled backroom deal.
