That's like asking legislators to NOT give themselves 10% pay raises every session while employers offer 2.5% pay raises. People in power take advantage of that power unless something keeps that power in check. That would be us, the voters, but most people aren't paying enough attention to care to change anything. Politicians won't vote to give themselves term limits. Career politicians enjoy their careers. It comes with a lot of benefits for them.

This will badly damage the reputation of the SCOTUS. It's not a good day for democracy. I do think we need to slowly expand the size of the court, if only to diminish the power of individual members. That will reduce the temptation to bribe the members.

A leftist news citing a leftist news as a source to attack a black conservative Supreme Court Justice. Shocking.

One trip worth over $500K in 2019 and he's taken these trips every year for twenty years without reporting it? How is that okay?
As another poster said "Just more left-wing charges, and hatred because he is a Republican and black."

Their side can do no wrong you know that....

It appears, these days, that attacking people who don't agree with your political ideology is just peachy, even when the behavior in question is widely practiced by politicians across the political spectrum.
Why do Dems like to pretend that their leadership is as pure as the driven snow, but Republican leadership must be beyond reproach? I'm not affiliated with either party, so perhaps it is easier for me to see that the playing field isn't level. In recent years it seems as if Democrats not only fail to acknowledge the absence of a level playing field, they've employed earth moving equipment to ensure it's not level.

Political extremists actively deny the existence of human nature. The opposition is pure evil, but they are God-like in their purity.

Where is the documented proof in the article? Just says he did it....without backing it up in any way. Did they check his bank accounts to determine if there was a reimbursement and these were not a gifts? Was there any documented quid pro quo? Now, if he accepted gifts outside of what the law allows, there should be consequences, however........if you want to go after him, make sure you go after others also...regardless of political affiliation! Failure to do so would be hypocritical!

BTW we all know that this, if true, would NOT be a problem if it was a Democrat-approved justice.
