Locking up sanctuary city mayors would do wonders for illegal alien numbers. Pay the going rate to farm workers that are here legally or pick your own lettuce.

Get a grip, the discussion is how good GOP farmers in Florida are being hurt by their Governors knee jerk action. They are the ones who was using the undocumented workers not the Democrats just like the Animal Processing Facilities in Iowa that got busted last month for underage, undocumented worker, solid GOP voters.
The term you are looking for is "illegal aliens," not "undocumented workers."
Well this scenario you paint has been going on for 1/2 a century because Americans always want and need a low paid underclass to cover all those nasty jobs Americans with an ounce of energy and a days education do not want to do.

I know a few Americans that got fired from their construction jobs in the mid 90's and replace with illegal crews.
One was my next door neighbor. He went and became an electrician so he could continue to work in construction. Electrician/plumber are the only 2 construction type jobs left for Americans because of the test/certification process.
I lived in Texas long enough to see what was going on and how there's quite a symbiotic relationship between these employers and the Federal government.
So, these illegals are the new slaves in the south, right? The farmers can get away with a lot more by hiring these illegal workers/slaves. They don't have to worry about OSHA or the Department of Labor - thus as I keep saying with the illegal invasion, 3rd world here we come!

From farm workers, to roofers does anyone think the average American born person is going to do this back breaking work especially when it's 100F in the shade?
Who do you think did roofing out in the heat before millions of cheap illegals flooded our border willing to work for less? Are you unaware that there are unlimited visas for legal, foreigner farm workers?
H-2A is a failed program for many, many reasons. The free market works much better. Let it function. Let them come and work. We need to eat.
