1. Our Constitution wasn't written to tell the citizens what they can do, it was written to tell the government what it can do.
2. Amendment 10 - Powers of the States and People. Ratified 12/15/1791.
The ability to procreate is a fundamental right of life and liberty and Natural Law.
Nowhere in the Tenth Amendment does it mention anything about procreation. Nor does any other amendment grant any specific rights to reproduce. We as citizens have the specific rights to free speech, to keep & bear arms, to a speedy trial, to be secure in our homes without unwarranted searches, etc. BUT ... nothing concrete about the right to have children.

Then what do you suggest as a solution to prevent all these financially irresponsible people from breeding? Outlawing abortion certainly won't put a stop to that. The only viable solution I can come up with is take away all public assistance ... which would include public schools, and the $1,000 per child welfare program disguised as a tax credit. The latter, by the way, was signed into law by a conservative Republican President (who I don't consider to be very conservative on the fiscal side).

Again, the Constitution was written to tell the GOVERNMENT what it can do...ours is a servant government of the people. The 10th amendment doesn't mention any specific topic, only stating that anything NOT mentioned is left to the states or the people...you disagree that procreation is a fundamental right of life, liberty, and Natural Law (that our country is founded on)?
I don't suggest a solution for financially irresponsible people...but removing public "assistance" (i.e. welfare...of which public schooling is not a part of) is a good start. People do not accidentally get pregnant because they are financially irresponsible, they do so because they are simply irresponsible...finances have nothing to do with their decision.
Then how are they confirming gestational age? Mine was performed at Planned Parenthood (early), and they had a sono. The clinic I volunteered at also had a sono room, where each pregnancy was confirmed and gestational age determined.
Procedures vary throughout gestational age and they need to determine which procedure to use. The only time pregnancy would not be confirmed via sono would be in very, very early medical abortions.
I was compassionate towards my already living self.
