Census report sees minorities becoming majority by 2042 -- Newsday.com (broken link)
Good thing we're embracing diversity. Diversifying ourselves right out of a culture.
Had the US stated predominantly Anglo, like the 13 colonies, we'd have a culture of eating kidney pie, drinking warm beer, and poor dental care. No thanks!
Whats the big deal?eventually "European" and "Euro-American's" wont be around..
Oh well they were greedy and the cause of all the worlds problems anyway
Stupid study... everyone knows that America is doomed. The majority population will be chinese and everyone will be speaking mandarin. The chinese OWN us! America will become a communist state and there will be no incentive for hispanics or blacks to migrate here.
thank god. maybe these minorities can enjoy a higher economic status and would actually appreciate it, whereas white people take it for granted and **** all over there yuppie suburban lives.
I agree Lionking,
1. Minorities being a larger demographic doesnt =higher incomes.
2.White Folks becoming educated, making decent money, nice home isnt a bad thing.
Replace your white guilt with logic and common sense.
Not sure I understand the problem w/ this, or why some people seem shocked by this report. Immigrants from Latin cultures tend to have larger families so it makes since that they will be a significanly larger segment of our population. Also, many people marrying and having families outside of their race this seems perfectly natural and healthy. As long as our fellow Americans embrace the laws and values of the American culture, I see no reason why this will be a problem. Those who are unable or unwilling to adapt to the changing face of our nation will be the ones left behind.
